SUMMARY:

 

Rewards Network (RN) has an immediate opening for a Relationship Specialist position reporting to the SVP of Business Development.  This individual will be responsible for managing and cultivating assigned partner relationships in a variety of loyalty-driven industry categories that may include: airline, financial services (credit card industry), hotel/travel, Fortune 500 corporations, and promotion and marketing companies.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Working with different payment card issuers to develop loyalty program complements (e.g., dining program earning opportunities).
  • Developing comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns that optimize revenue earning opportunities for existing and new partner relationships through member acquisition, retention, reengagement, etc.
  • Coordinating and managing the day-to-day system requirements for partner program support and member benefit administration
  • Project management of various initiatives that include the capture of permission-based email addresses
  • Assessing the attractiveness of new business opportunities, forecasting revenue potential and recommending partner expansion initiatives
  • Identifying, researching, and analyzing potential areas of strategic expansion
  • Developing and maintaining competitive analysis of comparable industry services

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

The ideal candidates will be self-motivated and goal-oriented. They will also have:

  • A minimum of seven years experience working in bankcard loyalty with a major payment card issuer (or card association) is a major plus. Alternative experience in either agency or business development capacities specializing in financial services, with direct involvement in client or account development and management, would also be appropriate
  • Loyalty marketing and/or consumer marketing competencies
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with significant experience crafting proposals and making presentations
  • Experience with e-commerce and internet-oriented businesses and partnerships
  • Facility with financial analysis and the ability to assess the prospective profitability of partnerships
  • An undergraduate degree is required, as is a background in any of the following fields: bankcard loyalty, partnership management, management consulting, direct marketing, advertising, direct response, sales management, or loyalty marketing
  • A willingness and capacity for travel is required
